I finally have used up a few of my products so I can share with you a quick review of the empty products which are all makeup products bar one haircare.

Davroe Hair Wellness Moisture Senses Argan Oil

I received this 50ml bottle of Argan Oil in a Lust Have It! box a while back, and I have used this product up a long time ago. It actually started leaking when I received it in the box but never bothered to email the Lust Have It! team about it, so it continued to leak the rest of the time I had it. I liked this product, it smelt quite nice and was a little bit heavy on my hair but I felt like it was doing some good so I did not mind. Sadly my hair is beyond repair so this didn't fix my dead ends, but I am sure if you hair is not bleached to death then this will do your hair some good! 50ml is the full size and it retails on the Davroe website for $23.95 AU.

Tony Moly Cats Wink 3Go Mascara

I purchased this off eBay a really long time ago, I haven't actually used up this product but it needs to be thrown out before I get an icky eye infection. I actually really like this mascara, it was simple and plumped up my lashes making them both longer and thicker. It wasn't waterproof which is what I prefer, it lasted all day and did not clump. I think I purchased this for around $7 off eBay and I would definitely purchase this again for a cheap mascara, but I think there are better mascaras out their.

Maybelline New York Super Stay 24HR Concealer

I purchased this concealer a while ago in a 50% off Maybelline sale. I typically prefer cream concealer over liquid so I am not really sure why I picked this up. I purchased this in shade cream which was too dark to use under my eyes but was good on blemishes and discolourations. As far as liquid concealers go this is quite long lasting and pigmented, however I still prefer to use cream concealers. This retails for $14.95 AU.

Revlon Colorstay Combination/Oily Skin Foundation

This is probably my favourite low end foundation, I had tried not to repurchase it and see what else is out there but I could not resist repurchasing it. This old one is in shade 180 Sand Beige which is a winter shade for me but possibly still a bit light, so this time I purchased shade 220. The old version was great but did not come with a pump, they have since added a pump in which I couldn't be happier about. This retails for $34.95 AU and comes in a large range of shades and also a normal/dry skin formula.

Loreal Blush

I cant find this blush online as it is actually so old! I received this a few years ago as part of a Christmas gift and it was probably the first blush I ever had. It was in shade 114 Fresh Papaya which is a lovely coral shade with small shimmer particles. It also came with a brush that fits inside the compact and also contains a small mirror. I really wish they still had this blush (I also own another one in a more plum shade) as I think its a great blush and had a reasonable wear time.

The Minis #01

As I previously mentioned, I am trying to use up the products that I already own rather than filling up my large stash of products. This includes using up the many samples I have accumulated thanks to online shopping and beauty box subscriptions. I wanted to do some mini reviews on the products I am 'sampling' at the moment, so here we go.

Avène Cleanance Emulsion Lotion

I couldn't actually find anything else about this online on the Avène website, until I just googled the product and found out it is called the Cleanance Anti-Shine Regulating Lotion, this is quite annoying as it seems a little misleading about the product. But besides that I have been loving this sample and would definitely consider purchasing the full size which is 40ml for $24.99 AU compared to the 5ml in the sample. This is designed to be oil regulating, anti shine, oil free and non-comedogenic which is only good things for my skin. 

Loreal Paris Base Magique Transforming Smoothing Primer

This primer retails for $29.95 for 15ml here in Australia, I have heard mixed reviews about this product so I appreciated a sample of 5ml that I received in one of my beauty boxes. This actually feels quite nice on my skin and not the strange silicone feeling I was expecting. This does a fairly decent job of keeping my makeup in place all day, I do have to put on some powder after a few hours. To be honest though I would rather spend the extra few dollars and buy myself the Clarins primer as I have a lot of faith in that brand. 

Benefit They're Real Mascara

I have mentioned in my latest weekly loves post about this mascara, this is a 3g sample size that I have two of, fortunate for me as the full size retails for $38 AU in Myer. I really love this mascara as it gives me big babydoll eyelashes without flaking or clumping. I think I would rather spend the money on something else and instead try and find a dupe for it, anyone have any ideas?

Weekly Loves #04

Another week has just flown right by, this time next week my holidays will be officially over and I will be back to Uni on the Monday. I plan on scheduling posts and writing them in my spare time or whilst procrastinating, I am only part time this semester so I should be able to continue my resolution of posting at least twice a week! Back to the things I have been loving this week though..

Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Polish

I have managed to have this nail polish on my nails for practically the whole week, they really only started chipping at work on Friday and I think I applied it last Sunday or Monday, which has to almost be a record for me. I am the worst when it comes to nail polish, I usually chip them straight away or definitely by the next day even with a base coat and top coat. I have quite a few of these nail polishes by Covergirl and they all seem to be similar quality, shiny and chip free for a long time. I picked this one up during a Kmart sale for only $2 AU but they are relatively inexpensive at $6.95 AU compared to other similar quality brands. I have been meaning to feature this polish and two other Covergirl ones I got in the sale on my blog, but I have been waiting for the display nail sticks rather than shoddily painting my own short stubby nails. I really love this nail polish colour, it is shade 225 Perfect Penny, which is a shimmery copper/bronze colour and looks quite luxurious, not tacky at all. It is opaque almost in 1 coat but I use 2 just to be on the safe side.

Sukin Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil

This is only a new addition to my skincare collection, but so far I have been loving using this. I wake up with clearer skin and softer, with less dry or flaky patches. I only use this once a night or once every other night and that seems to be working well for me. I look forward to seeing how this works with my skin after a longer period of use. This retails for $19.95 AU and you can currently purchases a limited edition bottle in Priceline, which supports the McGrath Foundation.

Maybelline New York Masterliner

I bought this a fair while ago but never opened it, I have been struggling finding a lasting eyeliner and opened up this recently to test it out. I have been loving it ever since, this cream pencil lasts a lot longer than my regular pencil and it seems to go on straighter than my pencil even though the nub is thicker. Maybe thick is the key? It is a little bit too thick for a cat eye/flick however so I still have to use a normal pencil, rather than this mechanical cream pencil for that. This retails for $12.50 AU but you can usually grab it on a Maybelline wide sale in stores. 

Benefit They're Real Mascara

I have two samples of this Benefit mascara, from beauty boxes, and this comes in a 3g size as a deluxe sample. The full size retails for $38 AU which is a shame as it is listed as only $23 US on the Benefit website, I understand the price differences due to the market but a whole $15 difference is a lot to swallow. Such a shame as well as I think this is a fantastic mascara, and it has a huge cult following that would agree with me. This coats my lashes well with one swipe and creates what I like to call, babydoll looking lashes. Those big long lashes that make your eyes look huge by thickening the lashes, making them longer and separating them. This mascara does not budge and manages to last me all day without flaking or rubbing off.

Weekly Loves #03

Its the time of week again where I share with you what I have been loving this week. Mainly all beauty products this week and one haircare product managed to slip in.

Michael Mercier Hair Brush

I had first heard about these brushes from UK bloggers and was intrigued about them, I have fairly frizzy tangled hair now thanks to my constant need to change my hair colour so I was definitely interested in a brush that claimed to detangle easily and result in less hair fallout. I love this brush and it gets the tangles out of my hair like no other. It retails for $20.95 here in Oz but Priceline will usually have a 20% off sale every so often. There is three different brushes dependant on your hair thickness, so there one for thin, normal and thick hair. I of course own the thick hair one which is the blue one. 

Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Aid

I think this is a great lip balm/treatment; it smells amazing, tastes alright, and is very hydrating on the lips. Lanolips describe this as:

An ultra rich and creamy whipped lanolin lip treatment with organic lemon oil to naturally exfoliate, leaving lips fresh, soft and moist. The citric acid in the organic lemon oil acts as a natural exfoliator on dry, dead skin; when applied there may be a slight tingling on the lips as it works. 

I don't find this very exfoliating, maybe a little as I have found it to be a bit tingly on my lips. The claim that it is hydrating is spot on though, I typically have quite flaky and dry lips but using this frequently I have found that my lips are no where near as bad as normal. This is a range of the many Lanolips products, this retails for $15.95 AU. 

Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24 HR Cream Gel Shadow

I have 3 of these Color Tattoo's in shades, Bad to the Bronze, Tough as Taupe and Inked in Pink. I have featured the shade Bad to Bronze in this weeks loved items as I still cannot get over how much I love this. I love everything, the shade, the wear time, the texture, the fact that you can wear this alone or as a primer for similar coloured eye shadows. I highly recommend these to anyone who wants a long lasting eyeshadow that looks great on its on but can double as a primer. These retail for $11.95 AU but are typically on sale for at least 20% off or part of a buy 2 get 1 free deal. 

Revlon Lash Potion Volume + Length Mascara

This mascara is definitely growing on me, I was not too fond of it at first but after continued use of it I have grown to love it. I purchased this in the black formula and not the waterproof version, I don't typically have any need for waterproof mascara and I hate the extra effort of scrubbing it off my eyes at the end of the day. I have very short and thin lashes but this elongates and gives them volume without clumping. I use a wiggle kind of technique at the roots and then brush up and this technique seems to work best with this mascara. This retails for $21.95 AU and does come in a waterproof formula and in a brown shade.
