My Priceline Cosmetics Sale Wishlist

Hey Guys

So hopefully you all know that on Wednesday and Thursday this week (18th & 19th of November) there will be the semi annual 40% off of cosmetics sale at Priceline.

I have developed a wishlist of items and thought I would share it here with you. Most of the products I have not tried and can't share a review of them, but I do always try to read up on items before I purchase them.

Brushes

So I have been looking at adding better quality brushes to my collection, to slowly replace all of my eBay brushes. I have two Models Prefer brushes currently and I really like the quality of them.

I am really after a new highlighting brush as my current one makes the highlighter quite thick and noticeable, so much so that I have to blend with a clean brush after. I have heard great things about this brush so fingers crossed I can find it in stock somewhere!

I thought this brush looked like a perfect eyeshadow blending brush which is always necessary.

I love foundation and I love trying out new foundation brushes. Either of these brushes look perfect to add to my growing collection.

I am not 100% certain that this brush set is included in the sale but I thought I would pop it on my wishlist regardless. These brushes look adorable and I always enjoy the Nude by Nature range.

Face

I absolutely love my Rimmel Stay Matte Primer but I am always on the look out for something slightly better. I have really enjoyed everything I have tried from Models Prefer so far and thought that this primer sounded perfect for me.

I have heard some amazing things about this primer and I figured that at 40% off it would be a perfect time to try it out.

I have always loved the oily/combination liquid version of the Revlon Colorstay foundation. I thought maybe I would try something different and pick up the whipped version of the foundation.

My skin has actually been really good lately but I would love to have a full coverage concealer in my collection for the bad skin days.

I recently finished up my Australis Setting Spray so I thought it was time to try this one from Models Prefer.

I probably will not end up getting all of these items, but I thought I might as well add them to a wishlist to share with all of you. What are you thinking of picking up in the Priceline sale?

Review: Maybelline FitME Matte + Poreless Foundation

Hey Guys

So today I wanted to share with you a review on the new Maybelline Foundation, the FitME Matte + Poreless Foundation. This is an expansion on the original FitME Foundation that was actually one of my first foundations, unfortunately it left me looking like a greaseball and quite a few shades darker and orange than I was meant to be.  So I told myself that I would not be buying this foundation due to my past experience with the Maybelline FitME range.

However when I stumbled across (ha) a 50% off Maybelline sale at Terry White, I found myself trying to find my shade in this new foundation, matte and poreless, sounds right up my alley! I matched myself to shade 120, Classic Ivory. This shade is still a little dark for my winter skin, but once summer comes around it should be a perfect match.

So I don't quite agree that this foundation makes my skin poreless, they are still there, maybe a bit covered and hidden by foundation but I don't typically consider my pores as a huge problem when I have foundation on. My primer typically helps with my pores regardless. I do however agree that this foundation is matte. I always powder my face, as I will be oily 5 seconds after I finish my face if I don't. I could potentially go without powder for this foundation, but I like to stick to my routine.

Now this foundation does oxidise a little on myself, and also runs more yellow than neutral but it is still a decent match for my skin. You might struggle to find an appropriate shade as there is only 6 shades in the range. But if you can find a match I would recommend picking up this foundation. It lasts all day on me, with only a little bit of oil peaking through at the end of the day (without touch ups). Which is impressive as I was wearing this for over 12 hours a day when I was doing my work experience.

Currently you can grab this for 50% off at Chemist Warehouse, but Maybelline is regularly on sale. This foundation retails for $18.95 AU which is a bargain anyway!

Review: Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette

Hello my lovelies

I have a much loved palette to share with you guys today, I am actually a bit surprised it has taken so long for me to review as I have been using this since September, as it was a birthday gift. WARNING this post is a little picture heavy :P

This is the Too Faced Natural Eye Neutral Eyeshadow Collection Palette, a bit of a mouthful but an absolutely stunning neutral palette. As you may know, I love neutral shadows, it is my definite go to look and I feel like most neutral shades suit everybody!

This was my first Too Faced product, I was always aware of the brand and its good reputation in the beauty community, I just had not yet purchased anything.

This palette consists of 9 shadows, 3 kind of large base shadows and 6 smaller crease or lid shadows (this is my personal preference but does not have to be a rule for you). The palette also contains a guide for how to use the shadows in a day, classic and fashion look.

All of the shades are very soft, pigmented and blends easily. Honestly this palette is a dream to use and I would recommend it to anyone who loves neutral and a mix of matte and shimmer shades.

Heaven, Cashmere Bunny & Sexpresso
Silk Teddy, Push-Up & Erotica

Nudie, Honey Pot & Chocolate Martini

What are some of your favourite palettes?

Update

Hey Guys

It has been way too long! Alright so before I get back into blogging, I just wanted to let you know what has been going on in my life.

So I graduated from University last year and my field required more study in order for me to finish my qualifications. I started a full time 15 week course back in February which was quite difficult and required a lot of time and effort. I was also required to do practical assessments, which I was not at all prepared for as I only ever had to do that in my first year of Uni. Fortunately I made some great friends who are very much a part of the reason I survived.

So I finished the course component in May and the week after I started a work experience placement for 75 day/15 weeks. I was working as a volunteer for 5 full days of the week and had to work on the weekend at my casual job to pay bills. My family helped me out a lot during this time and I really appreciate everything they have done for me to achieve my goals.

I finished my final day of work experience yesterday and I was honestly so sad to leave. I enjoyed everything about it, so much so that I was almost happy getting up before 6 in the mornings! I worked with some of the most amazing and lovely people, I have so many memories that I will cherish from my short time there. I also loved the work, which just makes me so happy to realise that I can enjoy the career path I have chosen.

The main downfall to all of this however was that I felt that I had no time to spend on my blog or really doing anything in my spare time other than cooking, cleaning or spending time with loved ones. Having one day off a week is difficult when you live out of home and have to clean up after several people.

I tried to remain active on my Instagram account, @justalittlebitofliz but I have really missed blogging. But I will have plenty of time to post regularly while I job hunt :P

If there is any suggestions on what kind of posts you would like to see just let me know. I have purchased a bit of stuff over the past few months, which I look forward to reviewing.

April Favourites

Hey Guys

April was a fairly busy month for me but May is going to be even crazier with only 3 weeks left in my course and the beginning of my work experience at the end of the month.

I stopped wearing makeup often as I was only going out once or twice a week, but I had a few firm favourites that I was relying on.

Wotnot Facial Wipes for oily/sensitive skin*

I was sent these back when Wotnot first released their wipes for oily/sensitive skin and I must say that I have quite enjoyed them. I on the whole try not to use face wipes as I try to properly cleanse my skin but these are great for the times when you just really need to wipe off your makeup. These are very soft wipes that are quite large in size and I find do not make my face sting at all ($2 wipes I am looking at you). I really have enjoyed having these wipes in my stash and I would definitely consider picking up the full size packet when I run out. These retail for $7.99 AU for 25 wipes.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin
What more can I say about this foundation that hasn't already been said!? I went off this foundation for a while for my Estee Lauder Double Wear but have recently fallen back in love with Revlon. I cannot find another drugstore foundation that lasts all day and offers such high coverage. I am looking forward to Loreal's Infalliable Matte Foundation but sadly that is not available yet in Australia so this will have to make do for now. Currently I have the shade 220 Natural Beige but this may be slightly a bit too light and pink for my skin tone but considering it is almost Winter it should be fine for the next couple of months. This foundation retails for $34.95 AU but you can always find this on sale somewhere.

Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose

My lips have been ridiculously dry lately, winter is coming! I have made sure to have a lip balm close by and this month it was Nivea's Raspberry Rose which smells amazing! Quite an inexpensive lip balm and does a decent job moisutrising my lips. My only peeve is that it is a tub which can make it somewhat unhygienic and mainly just annoying that you end up with lip balm on your finger afterwards. This retails for $5.69 AU.

Sephora Eyeshadow in Be on the A-list #49

I got this eyeshadow in one of the Sephora kits I purchased back in January. I really love this eyeshadow as a lid colour and sometimes when I am super lazy as an all over sweep of colour. I am really addicted to bronze colours and this is pigmented and easy to blend.

Face of Australia Blush in Terra

I picked up this blush during the Kmart clearance where it was only $4! I am so glad I did as I have found that this blush is perfect for a bit of colour and slight contour only lazy days. There is a slight amount of shimmer in this blush but it is not too noticeable when on your skin. It is a lovely pinky brown colour and looks great on my olive skin. This retails for $9.45 AU.

Australis Blemish Buster Acne Fighting Primer

I have been using this primer in conjunction with my Rimmel Stay Matte Primer on days when my skin has been a bit out of control. I tend to use this mainly on the areas with spots as it is quite moisturising and I am always worried that if I used it on my whole face it would turn into an oily mess by mid-day. I find that this does not necessarily help my spots but it definitely does not break me out and I do not find that my spots are worse when I get home after having makeup on for the whole day. This retails for $16.95 AU.

My month was mainly about makeup that was easy to use and less effort to put on. I do love makeup and I love wearing makeup but sometimes you just need to slap it on and get on with the day :P
